The Dream Scholars Advancement Program honors Dr. King’s lifelong commitment to educational opportunity and economic justice. PUAD Mobile. Inc., awards scholarships to elementary, middle, high school, and college students, ensuring that young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to pursue their dreams. This program also includes a critical community effort: PUAD Mobile, Inc., raises funds to cover the cost of breakfast for the children of the Dearborn YMCA.
Why this matters historically:
Dr. King advocated for programs that addressed poverty, hunger, and inequality, especially among children. He believed that no child could reach their full potential while struggling to meet their basic needs. By ensuring that Dearborn YMCA children begin their day with nourishment, PUAD Mobile continues Dr. King’s vision of a world where every child has a fair start, adequate food, encouragement and access to opportunity.

Teaching the history. Preserving the courage. Continuing the work.
PUAD Mobile, Inc., leads community members, including many first-time participants, on an annual journey to Selma, Alabama. There, they walk across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, learn about the events of Bloody Sunday, and experience the transformative lessons of the Civil Rights Movement.
Dr. King walked that bridge not just as a man, but as a symbol of courage, justice, and determination. Our program gives community members the chance to stand where he stood, feel what he felt and understand the sacrifice required to protect democracy.
